Variation to Coneburn Industrial Zone

This proposal is a variation to Chapter 44 Coneburn Industrial Zone of the Proposed District Plan (PDP) to remove the restricted discretionary activity status for building coverage, and to amend rules regarding Custodial Units and Visitor Accommodation activities to ensure these provisions more closely align with the overall strategic intent of the PDP.

Variations are also proposed to District-Wide Chapter 25 Earthworks, 27 Subdivision, 29 Transport, 31 Signs, and 36 Noise. It is proposed to introduce specific provisions in these Chapters to identify the Coneburn Industrial Zone within their overall management framework.

Notification of Decision

Public notice was given as of 28 September 2023 that the Queenstown Lakes District Council (Council) made a decision on the adoption of proposed variations to Chapter 44 (Coneburn Industrial Zone) of the Proposed District Plan at its meeting on 31 August 2023.

The two submissions received on this variation were formally withdrawn and a hearing was not required. Council adopted all the proposed variations as notified.

This is because, under the Act, any further submission supporting or opposing your submission must be forwarded to you as well as to QLDC.
