Let's Go Girls

Let's Go Girls is a fully funded sport programme at Paetara Aspiring Central! It's for girls between 14 and 17 years old.

What is 'Let's Go Girls'?

Let's Go Girls is a free programme designed to give access to sports and other fun activities that young girls might not otherwise experience.

It's a fully funded programme through Sport NZ and Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa funding.

The girls will be able to try a new sport each week over the 7 week programme. Each week we'll teach them the fundamentals in the hopes of creating a lifelong connection to being active.

Each participant will need to apply, so email Fiona using the details below!

When is the programme being run?

With year-end exams and a few other things going on, we've decided to delay the Let's Go Girls programme until term 1 2025. The web page will remain live and we'll start back up in the new year!

Feel free to email Fiona if you'd like to sign up for term 1 next year

The programme will run for seven weeks every Thursday 3.30pm to 5.00pm

The programme will be run by Fiona Gallagher - a local professional triathlete and Paetara Aspiring Central superstar!

Fiona has been involved in sport all her life and has faced many challenges along the way. She is here to guide and help the girls navigate through the barriers and concerns they may come up against as a young lady wanting to continue pursuing sport, no matter the level.

Fiona is here to share the experiences, the good and the bad, to encourage the girls that sport doesn't need to be scary or difficult.

Here she is in action!
