You may have noticed the road works around our Queenstown office and library located on Gorge Road. Don’t worry, both are still open so pop in and see our friendly team! For information on the road works underway, please visit our Major Projects page.

The Frankton and Wānaka Transfer Station facilities will close every Sunday, starting 27 November until 8 January 2023, due to staff shortages. Both facilities will be open 8.00am-5.00pm Monday to Saturday. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Riding a motorcycle requires a high level of awareness and skill. This is especially true when navigating the roads in our district, which can be challenging for even the most experienced and capable riders.

Senior driver training

Staying Safe is a classroom based refresher workshop for senior road users.

The workshop aims to maintain and improve safe driving practices, and increase knowledge of transport options available to help senior road users remain mobile.

It's free to attend, and both morning tea and lunch are provided.
