Skippers Point Cemetery Access
Skippers Bridge is closed to all vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians until further notice, after an inspection of the structure late last year found failures of the wires in the cables used to support the bridge and any load on it.
This means that there is no access to the Skippers Point Cemetery at this time. We apologise for the inconvenience and will endeavour to provide updates when possible.
Further information about the bridge closure can be found in our 12 January 2026 media release.
