Town Centre Arterial Road Project Update

Check out the latest update on the Town Centre Arterial Road project.

Frankton Road Banner

We’re well and truly into the spring of things and have raced through a very wet and, at times, chilly end to September and start to October. Despite some unhelpful conditions for construction, we’re making good progress to lay asphalt, rebuild footpaths on Frankton Road and at the intersection of Sydney and Melbourne Street, and reinstate driveways along Melbourne Street.

Crews working on the Arterial Road have remained productive despite the record-breaking rain of September, finishing road preparation on the lakefront side of Frankton Road which is now ready the first of two layers of asphalt.

In the coming weeks, you’ll start to notice lane adjustments on Frankton Road so we can finish off the remaining above ground works in the area. From Monday 21 October, traffic will be moved to the lakefront side of Frankton Road. We will keep you informed as adjustments are made.

Here's a rundown of what we’ve completed and what’s coming up for our various worksites along the Arterial route.
