Wānaka-Mount Aspiring Road Closures
Closures coming in early December and located just north of Treble Cone access road
In early December, Downer will be carrying out works to construct a retaining wall along a section of Wānaka-Mount Aspiring Road north of the Treble Cone access road near Glenfinnan Stream.
To complete these works safely and efficiently, Wānaka-Mount Aspiring Road will need to be closed near Glenfinnan Stream on weekdays for two weeks, including one 24 hour closure so concrete for the retaining wall can cure properly.
Weekday closures will generally operate from 9.00am to 12.00pm (except on Tuesday 10 December) and 1.00pm to 5.00pm and include a one hour window from 12.00pm to 1.00pm where the road will open to vehicles.
We ask residents and anyone else expecting to head through the closure point to please plan ahead and either travel before or after the closure times, or during the midday window when this section of road is open.

Tuesday 3 December: Closed from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm

Thursday 5 December: Closed from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Friday 6 December: Closed from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Monday 9 December: Closed 24 hours from 9.00am until 9.00am the following day (Tuesday 10 December)**
Tuesday 10 December: Closed from 10.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Wednesday 11 December: Closed from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Thursday 12 December: Closed from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm
Friday 13 December: Closed from 9.00am to 12.00pm and 1.00pm to 5.00pm
