Latest update Tuesday 7 September: Alert Level 2 in Queenstown Lakes District.
Great news! After a 21-day closure due to the government enforced lockdown, we are excited to be opening our doors at Wānaka Recreation Centre and Queenstown Events Centre on Wednesday 8 September at 6:00am.
You may remember from last time that there are a few changes to how we operate under level 2 conditions. The key changes this time around are that: masks must be worn at all times unless exercising or in the pool hall; a 2m physical distance must be maintained; and it is mandatory to sign-in to the facility (contact tracing). We know that exercise is important, however we advise any at-risk groups to take additional precautions during this time.
As a valued member of QLDC Sport and Recreation facilities, we wanted to provide you with some key information ahead of your return. In order for us to open under alert level 2 we must adhere to the Ministry of Health guidelines around signage, contact tracing, social distancing and hygiene protocols. You will notice a few differences in our facilities when you return. We ask that you respect the protocols to ensure we can keep our doors safely open.
From 8 September 2021 all memberships will automatically be reactivated.
If you are a Direct Debit Membership holder, your next payment will be deducted during week commencing 13 September (bank dependant). While our facilities were closed, your payments were suspended. Due to our membership payments being debited in advance or if you had any outstanding amount before lockdown your debit may be affected.
If you are a Prepaid Membership holder, we extended the expiry date of your contract by the period of the facility closure.
If you are a Visit Pass holder, we extended the expiry date of your contract by the period of the facility closure.
Queenstown and Wanaka Swim School:
If you are a direct debit class member: our swim school payments are debited in advance, therefore a credit for any days paid in advance will be loaded to your family account

If you have any queries please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com.
